Warrenton Virginia Old TownSmokey Blue Mountains

EVENT: Annual Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival
EVENT DETAILS: I will be exhibiting hand-created decorative items along with Artist Kim Silhanek.  In addition, author W.R. Pursche will be at our booth signing his popular book Lessons to Live By: The Canine Commandments.  (Note: All proceeds from today’s book purchase will go to the local Humane Society). This outdoor event, which has been held since 1979, features 200 exhibitors, arts and crafts, live music, dance, displays, entertainment, food, and demonstrations. Piggybank - Design by Debbie Smith Mezzetta for DC Public Middle School Program:

DATE: May 3, thru June, 2005
EVENT: Stash Your Cash - Piggy Bank Statue
LOCATION: Washington, DC
EVENT DETAILS: Fifteen 3’ x 5’ piggybank-shaped  statues have been decorated to raise awareness among students in the Washington, DC public middle school system about the importance of financial responsibility. The piggybank sculptures have been designed and created by volunteer professional artists and incorporate design elements by DC public middle school students. Students will also have the opportunity to work with the artists on the piggybank sculptures.  All piggybank statues are on public display and will be sold in a live auction. All proceeds go to the Washington, DC public middle schools..
LAUNCH DATE: May 4, 2005 - Artist and student painting.
DISPLAY DATE:: May 6, 2005 - Piggybank statues will appear on Washington, DC streets through June 2005.
